Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 7 September 2026
These terms govern your use of CertGuild. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. If you are using CertGuild on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
1. What CertGuild is
CertGuild is a marketplace that connects training providers with learners. Providers publish and deliver their own courses, mark submitted work, and issue certificates of completion. CertGuild operates the platform but is not itself the provider of any course listed on it, and is not responsible for the accuracy or quality of a provider's course content.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when you register.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- One account may hold multiple roles — for example, being a learner in one course and a provider's staff member for another.
3. Providers
If you publish courses on CertGuild, you are responsible for the accuracy of your course content, for marking submitted work in a timely and fair manner, and for the accuracy of any certificate you issue. You must have the rights to any material you upload. We may suspend a provider's account for content that is fraudulent, infringing, or otherwise breaches these terms.
4. Payments and refunds
Paid courses are billed through our payment processor at the price set by the provider, inclusive of any tax the provider has indicated. Refunds are granted at the discretion of the course provider unless local consumer law requires otherwise; contact the provider directly through your inbox to request one. Where a refund is approved, we process it back to your original payment method.
5. Certificates
A certificate is issued automatically once a course's stated completion requirements are met, and reflects the rules the provider set for that course at the time. Certificates are issued by the provider named on them, not by CertGuild, and can be revoked by that provider — for example if evidence of misconduct later comes to light. Anyone can check a certificate's validity via its public verification link.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit work that is not your own, or misrepresent your identity;
- Share your account credentials or another learner's course access;
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
- Attempt to interfere with the platform's security or normal operation.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section.
7. Intellectual property
Course content belongs to the provider that created it. The CertGuild name, branding, and platform software belong to us. Using the platform does not transfer ownership of either to you.
8. Disclaimers and liability
CertGuild is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that a course will meet your expectations, that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a certificate will be recognised by any particular employer or institution. To the fullest extent the law allows, CertGuild is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use of CertGuild after a change means you accept the revised terms.
10. Contact us
